Askel: Steps towards circular textile futures
The Brief: The goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of procurement services in Finland by using the maternity package as a starting point. This can help inform new laws, working methods, and policies that could be applied to other public procurement processes.
The Intervention: Askel is a strategic framework designed to build shared understanding and practical criteria for circularity. It works in two key steps:
Creating Shared Understanding: Askel brings stakeholders together through workshops to align sustainability goals.
Turning Understanding into Action: Based on the workshops, Askel uses a checklist and collaborative tools to turn these goals into specific, actionable criteria for circularity.

stakeholder and contextual research
